The ActiveX pluginis an alternative to theJavaAPI, which used to workwith the meansof cryptographic protection. ActiveX componentsare supported onlyin the Internet Explorer. In this regard you need to perform your browser's security settings for the correct operation of the ActiveX plugin. ActiveXis launched when the client connects to the Web-client.

Setting up ActiveX plugin starts with running the NRD.ActiveX.Setup. This will open the Setup Wizard window, where you need to click Next (Fig. 1).

ActiveX plugin installation is carried out underan administrator account. You must have .NETFramework 4.5 installed on your computer.

In the next window you need to:

  1. click the Browse button to select the folder (Fig. 2,1) (by default: С:Program Files (x86)IT Global (Fig. 2,2));

  2. choosethe type of installation (Fig. 2,3):
    1. Everyone the pluginwill runon this computerfor all users;
    2. Just me the pluginwill runonly for the current user.
  3. click the Next button (Fig. 2,4).

Then click Next to install components (Fig. 3).

After completing the installation an information window will be displayed (Fig. 5), where you should click Close to exit the installation wizard.

Next, you need to perform thebrowser's security settings.

To runActiveX plugin in Internet Explorer, you must:

  1. go to menu Tools → Internet OptionsSecurity;
  2. selectthe Trusted sites(Fig. 6,1) and clickthe Sites(Fig. 6,2);

  3. remove the switchbox (Fig. 7,1) to addthe URLwith the http-protocol. URLwithhttps-protocolare addedregardlessactivatedswitch boxor not;

  4. specify the URL of the Web-client(Fig.7,2) and click the Add button(Fig.7,3). Asthe result,the URL will beadded tothe list of trusted sites(Fig.7,4);

    If you plan to useWeb-clientasin the test and production environment, you must add the URL ofthe required versions:

    • URL (beta version)http://repository-dev.itglobal.ru/lkr/en
    • URL (test) – https://repository1.itglobal.ru/lkr;
    • URL (production):
      • GOST – https://edog.nsd.ru/lkr;
      • RSA – https://edor.nsd.ru/lkr.


  5. click the Close button (Fig. 7,5);
  6. click the ОК button in the Internet Option (Fig. 6,3).

After that you need to check that the ActiveX plugin is enabled. To do this:

  1. go to the Web-client site (see Authentication in the Web-client);
  2. go to browser menu Tools → Manage add-ons;
  3. find in the list theActiveX plugin (Fig. 8). The status of the pluginmust be Enabled. Click the Enable button, if the ActiveX plugin is disabled.

As a result the ActiveX plugin will beused as the implementation ofthe EDS.

When you login into the Web-client the ActiveX plugin error occurs you need to perform an additionalsecurity settings. To do this:

  1. go to menu Tools → Internet OptionsSecurity;
  2. set the security level to Medium (Fig. 9,1);

  3. click the Default levelbutton (Fig. 9,2) to returnto the original browser settings. This button is active if you have changed Default security settings;
  4. click the OKbutton (Fig. 9,3).

Next, you need to repeat the login. Authorizationin the Web-clientmust becompleted successfully.
